The SC to SC Inline Attenuator Patch Cord 5dB is a fiber optic patch cable with a built-in fixed optical attenuator that reduces signal power by exactly 5 decibels (dB). It comes with SC connectors on both ends—either UPC (Ultra Physical Contact) or APC (Angled Physical Contact) depending on your network requirements—and is used to connect and attenuate signals in one step.
This all-in-one solution is ideal for applications that require precise signal reduction to prevent receiver saturation or balance optical link budgets, especially in telecom, data centers, and lab environments.
