The Cisco Compatible 400GBASE-ER8 QSFP-DD optical transceiver is a high-speed, long-reach module designed for 400 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity over single-mode fiber (SMF). Operating at 1310nm wavelength with PAM4 modulation, it enables reliable data transmission up to 40km, making it ideal for data center interconnect (DCI), metro networks, and telecom backbone deployments.
This module follows QSFP-DD (Double Density) form factor, providing high port density and backward compatibility with existing QSFP infrastructure while delivering ultra-high bandwidth performance. It also includes Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM) for real-time diagnostics and performance tracking.
