The Cisco 800G QSFP-DD800 SR8 transceiver is a high-performance, low-power optical module designed to enable ultra-high-speed 800 Gigabit Ethernet (800GbE) connectivity in next-generation data center and cloud networking environments.
Built in the QSFP-DD (Quad Small Form-Factor Pluggable Double Density) form factor, this module supports 8 parallel lanes of 100Gbps (8×100G PAM4) transmission over multimode fiber (MMF) using an 850 nm wavelength, delivering reliable short-reach communication up to 100 meters.
Engineered with Low Power Optics (LPO) technology, the transceiver minimizes power consumption and latency by reducing onboard DSP requirements, making it ideal for high-density deployments such as AI clusters, hyperscale data centers, and high-performance computing (HPC) fabrics.
